MenCare Switzerland

MenCare Switzerland

MenCare Switzerland is a national program that promotes a society in which it is commonplace for men to care, and assume responsibility, for children, relationships, and themselves—a society, in which men’s work as caregivers is viewed as a major contributing factor to the realization of equitable gender relations and social justice.

Referendum for 20 Days of Paternity Leave

Referendum for 20 Days of Paternity Leave

On May 24, männer.ch--in collaboration with Travail.Suisse, allianceF, Pro Familia Switzerland, and many others--will start collecting signatures for our petition to hold a referendum to introduce 20 days of paternity leave for Swiss fathers. We're counting on your support!

männer.ch/masculinities.ch is the the umbrella organization of men’s and father’s organizations advocating for gender equality in Switzerland. As advocates for boys’, men’s, and fathers’ issues, we work to ensure that men do not miss the opportunity to participate in the struggle for gender equality—or miss out on its results. Since 2005, we have been pioneers in this field owing to our triple advocacy approach. Results of our work can be seen in the creation of the Swiss Father’s Day; the passage of an equitable law governing separation and divorce; the rapid increase of men working part-time; and ever-growing attention to the care contributions of men—professionally as well as within family settings.
